I stumbled upon this site a while back and thought it was pretty cool , especially once I started playing around with it.

Essentially, ColorWare is a site where you can send them your stuff (or buy direct from them) and have it professionally disassembled and painted any way you like it. I haven’t had a chance to try this (yet… Hi ColorWare!) but a quick Google search shows from reviews that the quality is top notch with no real complaints that I have found. In most cases the paint itself is more durable than the original applied by the manufacturer.

They are willing to colorize almost anything, although they have several products that they do regularly and anything outside the norm requires prototyping and additional cost (Which is already hefty).

They move pretty quickly, too, and are already offering colorization on MacBook Airs:

Pretty awesome! I’m half-tempted to get an estimate on getting my laptop (Sager NP9262) colorized. But honestly I couldn’t live without it for a few weeks while they did it!

One thing to note: This does void your warranty. However if you purchase your product directly from them they warranty the product for 1 year. Someone talk me out of spending the money on one of these. Please?
