Quick Tip: Synchronize Firefox via Google!
Goodbye, Foxmarks. Hello, Google?
I happened upon this nice little Firefox extension the other day and thought I will share it with you all. If you are like me and use multiple computers, you may have struggled with ways to keep your bookmarks straight between them, much less other important information.
Many of you probably use Foxmarks. A Firefox plugin designed to synchronize bookmarks between computers. It works well enough, and I’ve only ever run into a couple issues with it.
But what if someone said you could synchronize not only your bookmarks, but all your personal information: Bookmarks, cookies, history, even open tabs and windows?
Now you can! With the new Google Browser Sync! I love it already.

Setup is easy:
- Install on a computer
- Link it to your Gmail account (or create a new one)
- Select which options to Sync
- Select which options to encrypt (See? They aren’t dumb!)
- Install on other computers
- Watch Google sync everything on the fly!
I’ve been looking for something like this for ages.. and now I finally have it. Go Google! Go download it! Google Browser Sync

Hi,
interesting that you just found Google Browser Sync. I was using this for 2 years.
But unfortunately it’s dying at the moment since there’s no statement from Google about supporting Firefox 3. Many people are moving to FF3-RC1 at the moment at the cost of loosing This great extension.
Anyway, good quick tip.
