With Green Numberpad?!

Palm Centro

Right on the front page of the Palm.com website today they announced the launch of the Palm Centro for AT&T. This is the latest Palm device to hit the market and includes both the full qwerty keyboard and a touch screen - although ‘full’ is a relative term, the keys are about the size of a hangnail.

Aside from that, however, it is overall a rather decent phone if you’re a Palm-loving type. A lackluster 64MB of onboard memory is supplemented by the MicroSD card slot. The screen is ‘decent’ at 320×320 resolution, 2.2″ diagonal in size. It also supports Push-To-Talk with up to 29 people.

Apparently with this model, Palm wanted to be sure you could find the numberpad in the middle of the keyboard, because they decided to make the entire numberpad section an awful shade of green. Or beautiful shade of green. All depending on your taste, and whether it is good or not.

One nice thing this AT&T Centro does have, however, is built-in XM Radio, supporting 25 of their commercial free stations. It also comes preinstalled with Telenav GPS systems, although you gotta pay monthly for that. Not too bad overall. Check it out at palm.com or over at wireless.att.com
